Last updated: August 2026 PINK CITY INSIDER ("we", "us", "our") operates the Pink City News mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the DPDP Rules, 2025. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. If you choose to browse as a Guest, we do not collect this information until you create an account. Information you provide: Your selected area/neighbourhood within your city, and — optionally — your WhatsApp number, which you may add later to receive withdrawal updates. Providing your phone number is always optional and is never required to use core features of the App. Usage information: Which articles you read, when you read them, your scratch card and referral activity, your coin balance and transaction history, and your reading streak. Device information: A device identifier used solely to prevent referral fraud (detecting when multiple accounts are created on the same physical device to abuse referral rewards). This is never used for advertising or tracking purposes outside the App. Location information: Your selected city and area are used to show you relevant local news. We do not collect precise GPS location. 2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION We use your information to: - Show you news relevant to your city and selected language - Calculate and credit coins for reading, referrals, and scratch cards - Process withdrawal requests you submit - Detect and prevent referral fraud and duplicate accounts - Send you app notifications (which you can disable in your device settings at any time) - Improve the App and understand how it's used in aggregate We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your reading history for targeted advertising outside this App. 3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES We use the following third-party services, which may process your data under their own privacy policies: - Google Firebase (authentication and app infrastructure) — https://policies.google.com/privacy - Google Sign-In (if you choose to sign in with Google) In future updates, we may integrate Razorpay (for UPI withdrawal processing) and Google AdMob (for advertising). This policy will be updated in advance of any such change, and you will be notified via the App. 4. DATA RETENTION We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as transaction logs for financial compliance). 5. YOUR RIGHTS Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to: - Access the personal data we hold about you - Correct or update inaccurate personal data - Request erasure of your personal data - Withdraw consent at any time (this may limit your ability to use certain features) - Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity - Raise a grievance regarding how your data is handled To exercise any of these rights, email pinkcityapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request." We will respond within 7 days as required under the DPDP Rules, 2025. 6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY PINK CITY INSIDER is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at pinkcityapp@gmail.com and we will delete it. 8. DATA SECURITY We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted data transmission and secure cloud infrastructure, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
